ABOUT US
The Jersey County Arts Council was founded in March 2022 as a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to inspiring creative and cultural growth to those in Jersey County and the surrounding area.
In our first two years of operation, the Jersey County Arts Council hosted 341 programs and events reaching more than 8,016 participants.
In addition to art classes for adults and children, our programs include free weekly Art to Go bags at the Jerseyville Farmers and Artisans Market, the annual cow parade in Jerseyville, and the grocery bag program. Thus far, students in Jersey CUSD 100 have decorated more than 2,000 grocery bags distributed by our hometown grocer, Sinclair Food. We also partner with Jersey CUSD 100 to offer art projects at their weekly Reading in the Park program.
We look forward to continuing our work to provide accessible and engaging activities and events for artists of all ages and ability levels.
